The Diamond Jubilee, and Olympic and Paralympic Games are over. London’s lustrous summer is segueing into a far more leisurely fall – and you can be there.

Virgin Atlantic is selling seats to the city for a song. Depart Monday through Wednesday for the lowest fares. Know that these rates are quoted each way, but that you’ll have to make a round-trip purchase to get them. All taxes, fees, charges and carrier-imposed surcharges are included in the rate, and there’s no need to make an advance purchase. You will, however, have to stay over at least one Saturday night. Not exactly a hardship.
