Miami might have a reputation as an expensive city, but you don’t have to have deep pockets to get your drink on in this Florida locale. Check out these places where you can sip on the cheap.

News Lounge

Enjoy a swanky atmosphere with your reasonably priced drinks at News Lounge, where happy hour is held daily from 5 to 9 p.m. Cocktails during happy hour are $6, while glasses of wine run $5 and beers are just $3. Add in a happy hour menu with bites for less than $5 and swing sets on the patio, and you have one of the best bets for drinking on the cheap in Miami.

Area 31

Enjoy your budget-friendly liquid libations with a view of Biscayne Bay at the Terrace Lounge of Area 31 at the EPIC Hotel. Here, happy hour drinks and small plates are just $6. The scene can’t be beat, either; Wednesday and Friday nights transform the terrace into a dance floor with a DJ and an extended happy hour that goes until 10 p.m.

Mac’s Club Deuce

While Mac’s Club Deuce might look dive-y on the outside, you can’t argue with a joint that believes happy hour should start at 8 a.m. The bar’s all-day happy hour offers two-for-one drink specials. And though you won’t find any of Miami’s signature velvet ropes or bottle service at Mac’s, this dive bar has been known to attract the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Cameron Diaz.

Catch of the Day

This casual, sports bar-esque seafood restaurant is one of Miami’s best bets for cheap drinks. Happy hour is held from 3 to 7 p.m. daily, and your choices for cheap drinks include $1.35 draft beers and $7.99 pitchers. Wine and well drinks are $3.50, and the bar also offers two-for-one specials on their signature mojito, margarita and martini. Plus, you won’t go hungry: Every pitcher of Budweiser comes with a free appetizer.
