Bradley International Airport
Located halfway between Hartford, Conn. and Springfield, Mass., Bradley International Airport (BDL) processes more than 350 daily flights, and – with five million passengers each year – it’s the Connecticut’s busiest airport. The airport is also the location of the Bradley Air National Guard Base.
Flights to Bradley International Airport are available from cities across the eastern US and Canada, including Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Miami, Cleveland, New York, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Washington DC and Philadelphia.
There are information desks on the upper ticketing level and lower baggage level of Terminal A.
Money and communications: ATMs, public phones.
Luggage: Lost luggage queries are handled by the airlines concerned. All items found in the terminal are turned over to the Bradley Police.
Conference and business: The US Airways Club has business facilities, including work stations, photocopy and fax services, and a conference room. The Club is only available to members.
Shopping: The shops at Bradley Airport aren’t very inspiring, but there are a few gift and novelty shops, as well as a few newsagents. There is no duty-free shopping.
Food and drink: The restaurants at Bradley Airport tend more toward fast food than fine dining, with McDonald’s, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Boston Pizza covering most of the airport. There are two sit-down restaurants, Black Bear Restaurant in Terminal A, and Concorde’s Restaurant in the (attached) Sheraton Hotel. As a treat for the kids (or yourself), head to Edy’s Ice Cream for a scoop of delicious strawberry or chocolate ice cream made the old-fashioned way.
Other facilities: Other facilities at Bradley International Airport include a shoeshine service, and access and amenities for disabled passengers.
Wi-Fi: There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the airport.
