Bachelor parties come in all forms, from golf getaways to drunken weekends filled with debauchery. And for many guys, bachelor parties are also an excuse for a weekend trip to a new city. Before you settle for a Hangover-style Las Vegas blowout, consider these five up-and-coming destinations for your upcoming bachelor party.

Miami

This city was made to party – something bachelors can appreciate. Plus, Miami has it all: sun, sand, fishing and plenty of clubs to keep the boys entertained in the evening. You and the guys can take to the beaches or a fishing boat during the day, fueling your trip with plenty of Cuban cuisine. In the evening, you can party in a club or on a boat – bachelor’s choice.

Montreal

Head north to Montreal for a relatively undiscovered nightlife scene that will keep the party going into the morning hours. The city is ripe with pubs, bars and strip clubs for the quintessential bachelor party experience. Casino de Montreal is another local destination that’s a hit with bachelors looking for a night out on the town.

San Diego

This Southern California surfing town has a healthy craft beer scene and lively nightlife options, especially in the historic Gaslamp District. During the day, you can tour breweries, watch a baseball game or catch some waves in the Pacific. If you want to up the ante, the famed Mexican party city of Tijuana is just across the border.

Denver

If you’re looking for a sophisticated alternative to the cliche bachelor parties seen in the movies, head to the craft beer capital of Denver. By day, you can enjoy all sorts of outdoorsy activities like snowboarding, hiking and paint balling. By night, you have your choice of dozens of bars, offering everything from live music and karaoke to comedy and dueling pianos.

Portland

This northwest town prides itself on having the most strip clubs per capita in the country, but there are plenty of stripper-free nightlife options, too. Live music, dive bars and dance clubs await.
