Sarasota-Bradenton Airport is situated between Sarasota and Bradenton. The current terminal was opened in 1989. An airport has existed on the site since 1939 when the counties of Sarasota and Manatee agreed to open an airport together. Taxi: Taxis are available from the airport outside baggage claim. Diplomat Taxi (tel: 941 355 5155) is the officially authorized airport taxi company.
Bus: Both Sarasota County (tel: 941 316 1234) and Manatee County (tel: 941 749 7116) provide regular daily bus schedules.

Cars can be parked in short- or long-term parking. Both the short- and long-term parking lots are adjacent to the main terminal.

Money and communications: ATMs are available. Wi-Fi Internet facilities are available inside the terminal at no charge.
Eating and drinking: Food and drink outlets can be found throughout the airport and include a lounge, a deli, a gourmet coffee shop and different vending areas.
Shopping: The retail area is located on the second floor. It includes news and gift shops.
Luggage: Luggage carts are located on the ground level near baggage claim and other sites in the terminal. Kerbside assistance service is available.
Other facilities: First aid is available by Airport Rescue Fire Fighters (ARFF). Baby-changing facilities can be found in most ladies' rooms. A lost and found office is provided and maintained by the Airport Police on the ground level. A Senior Friendship Center is located on the second floor of the terminal. A mailing center and flower vending machine can be found on the first floor near the airline ticket counters.

The airport is easily accessible to disabled travelers. A telephone device for deaf people (TTY) is available. Passengers are advised to inform their airline of any special needs in advance.

The SRQ Conference Room is located on the first floor inside the terminal and offers venues for meetings and conferences. The DMA (Dan P McClure Auditorium) is located next to the terminal and can be used free of charge by government and/or aviation related businesses. Catering can be provided by the main restaurant.
