Airport Overview

Nashville International Airport is a joint civil-military airport located 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Nashville. Having recently undergone a five-year renovation plan, the vastly improved airport building now comprises an enormous passenger terminal with 47 gates and four concourses.

A mid-sized airport offering warm service and adequate shopping and dining options, with a strong emphasis on honoring and promoting the state’s rich musical heritage, Nashville International serves as a pleasant gateway to the greater Tennessee region. Like all airports, queues can sometimes be lengthy (especially during holidays); however, operations are generally smooth and staff efficient.

Terminal Transfer

Nashville International comprises one terminal building. All areas are accessible on foot, while a shuttle service transports passengers from the car parks to the airport.

Taxi: Taxi meters start at $7 and charge $2 per mile. There is a flat rate of $25 to the downtown city area.

Bus: The Grayline Airport Express bus runs from the airport to downtown Nashville every 15-20 minutes. A one way ticket will cost you $12.

Car Parking

Short-term parking is free for the first 20 minutes, after which rates are charged at $2 for 21-40 minutes and $1 per 20 minutes thereafter, with a maximum daily rate of $24. Economy airport parking is $3 for the first hour and $8 per day. Both Long Term A and B rates are $1.50 for 11-30 minutes, $3 for 30-90 minutes, $6 for 90 minutes to two hours and $9 for two-three hours; however, Long Term A’s maximum daily rate is slightly higher at $13, compared to Long Term B’s daily rate of $10. Valet parking is also available at $22 per day.
