Terminal Transfer

The terminals are connected by the world’s largest airport train, Skylink. This bidirectional system speeds guests through terminals in an average of five minutes. Transportation between terminals while outside security is available on Terminal Link, a free shuttle service. Pick-up and drop-off points are located on the upper level of each terminal, outside baggage claim areas.

Getting into Town

Rail: Trinity Railway Express (tel: 214 979 1111) offers connections to Dallas and Fort Worth. Shuttles connect the station and the terminals and are free for passengers holding a valid air ticket.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the airport, available on the upper level of each terminal.

Limousine: Numerous limousine companies and shuttle services are available.

Bus: Airporter buses serve various destinations in Fort Worth, from the upper level of each terminal. Information on public transport is displayed on ground transportation boards, which are located near baggage reclaim in all terminals.

Car Parking

Terminal parking lots for short-term parking are located next to each terminal, within walking distance of the gates. Express parking lots are situated slightly further away and are served by shuttle connections to the terminal. Information Desks

Multilingual information boards can be found throughout the airport. Interactive visitor information centers are located near the baggage reclaim areas providing information and direct dialing to some transportation options from the airport. A Travelers Aid office is located in Terminal D, near the D15 bag claim. DFW Airport Ambassadors are stationed throughout all terminals to provide assistance, including directing passengers to connecting flights, bag claim and other airport facilities.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: The airport has ATMs, bureau de change and post office services. Fax and Internet kiosks can be found in all terminals. Wireless Internet is available in all terminals too.

Eating and drinking: There are numerous food and drink outlets located around the airport.

Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in Terminals A and B.

Luggage: Trolleys are available throughout all terminals.

Other facilities: Barber shops, manicure, massage and shoe-shine services are available, and there are chapels (meditation rooms) in all terminals.

Airport Hotels

The Grand Hyatt DFW, located in Terminal D, outside security (tel: 972 973 1234), has 298 rooms, and is the most convenient hotel for the airport. Also on site is the Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel (tel: 972 453 1234), which has 811 rooms and 11 suites. Other hotels, including the Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport (tel: 972 790 8990), Dallas Fort Worth Airport Marriott (tel: 972 929 8800), the Fairfield Inn DFW (tel: 972 929 7257) and the Holiday Inn Select (tel: 972 399 1010), are located close to the airport. Information on getting to local hotels is displayed on ground transportation boards, which are located near baggage claim in all terminals.

Airport Disabled Facilities

Wheelchairs are also available from individual airlines in each terminal; passengers should request any special assistance from their airline prior to travel. There is disabled parking available in all parking lots. The inter-terminal Terminal Link vans are wheelchair accessible. There are TDD telephones, amplified receivers and lowered telephones throughout all terminals.

Airport Conference and Business Facilities

Wireless Internet access is available in all terminals and the Grand Hyatt DFW, which is located outside security in Terminal D. High-speed Internet kiosks and dataports are located in Terminals A, B, C and E. Samsung mobile travel centers, 24-hour business centers and Starbucks coffee shops are located in the terminals A, B, C and E Skylink stations. Features include work counters, semi-private workstations, electricity and phone outlets at each seat, Wi-Fi and dial-up Internet access. A Laptop Lane business center provides private workstations with computers, IDD telephones, fax, printing and Internet. Smathers Business Center (tel: 972 615 6855), located in the on-site Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel, offers computers, Internet access, copying, postal and courier services, fax, equipment hire, printing and graphics. The hotel also has 62 meeting rooms and a ballroom.

Directions

There are airport connections from the south on Highway-183 or -360, or from the north, on Highways-114, -121 or -635. All exits are on the left. From central Dallas, head north on I-35E, continue (northwest) on Route 183, turn off onto Ramp DFW Airport, and then continue (north) on International Parkway North (toll road). From central Fort Worth, head north on I-35 West, at Exit 52A turn off onto Ramp Route 121 north, merge onto Route 121 (Airport Freeway), continue (north) on I-820, continue on Route 121 north then Route 183 East, turn off onto Ramp DFW Airport/Amon Carter Boulevard, and then continue (north) on International Parkway North (toll road).

Car Rentals

The rental car center is a ten-minute shuttle ride from the airport; shuttles depart from the lower level of each terminal. Rental and pick-up are arranged here. Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, EZ Rent, Hertz, National and Thrifty are all represented; courtesy telephones are located by baggage claim.
