Check-in recommended 90 minutes prior to the flight's departure time. Online check-in is available between one and 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.
Carry-on: One carry-on bag, which can measure up to 10" H x 17" W x 24" L (25 x 43 x 61 cm), plus one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer.
Checked: Each checked bag must weigh 50lbs or less and have a maximum dimension of 62 linear inches (length + height + width) to avoid additional charges. The first three checked bags are subject to a charge of $20 each. Strollers, car seats and wheelchairs can be checked with no additional charge. Baggage charges can be paid when checking in online using Web Check-In, at an airport kiosk, or at the ticket counter.
Excess: Bags weighing more than 50lbs and less than 100lbs are subject to a $50 charge. Bags between 63 and 80in are subject to a charge of $50 and bags larger than 83in are subject to a charge of $75.

Infants up to the age of two may travel for free if seated on an adult's lap. Infants and children occupying their own seats will be charged the full fare.
Alaska Airlines accepts most small domesticated pets. Other pets may be accepted with approval. Space for pets traveling in the cabin or in the cargo compartment is limited and subject to availability. When traveling with your pet in the cabin, the pet is considered your carry-on item. A personal item (e.g. purse, briefcase, laptop) is the only additional item you can bring onboard. Reservations for pets are accepted up to 24 hours prior to departure and you will be charged $100 each way.
Standard baggage allowance limitations apply. A separate seat can be purchased to carry a large instrument instead of checking it.
Complimentary meals or light snacks are served to passengers in the first class cabin. In 2006 the airline launched its buy-on-board meal program, known as Northern Bites, on most flights over three hours, including all transcontinental flights. As part of the buy-on-board program, the airline offers various "Picnic Packs" for a charge in economy class on all flights. Alaska Airlines also offers hard-drive based, audio-video-on-demand digital players called, digEplayer that deliver movies, TV shows and audio programs on most long-haul flights to be rented for a fee.
Mileage Plan is the frequent flyer program of the Alaska Air Group, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.The Mileage Plan program has no membership fee, and accumulated miles never expire. However, if a Mileage Plan member does not accumulate mileage within nine months of becoming a member, or a member's account remains inactive with zero miles earned or spent for a consecutive 24-month period, Alaska Air reserves the right to cancel the account and dissolve any unused miles. Canceled accounts can be reinstated within one year of their deletion for a $75 fee.
