Oh, the places you’ll go!

Whether you grew up with “Green Eggs and Ham,” “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” or any of Dr. Seuss’s other childhood classics, you won’t want to miss your chance to set sail with all the whimsy of Dr. Seuss’s characters on the new themed sailings from Carnival Cruise Lines.

The new Seuss at Sea program is a collaborative effort between Seuss Enterprises and Carnival and promises to be a delight for kids cruising at any age. The world of Dr. Seuss will come to life for young passengers, starting with the first breakfast at sea. Of course, green eggs and ham are a staple of the menu, as are Dr. Seuss creations like moose juice and goose juice. Characters like Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two will also be around the breakfast table to bring that sense of Dr. Seuss wonder – and photo ops – to life.

Beyond themed meals, kids will also enjoy Dr. Seuss-inspired movie screenings, interactive story times, book and toy libraries, and special events like parades and parties with Dr. Seuss characters.

“Dr. Seuss inspires imaginations across generations and encourages a playfulness and whimsy that is often lost in today’s ‘always on’ society,” said Susan Brandt, president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises. “We’re excited to be working with Carnival Cruise Lines to bring some of the timeless magic of Dr. Seuss to the families that sail each year. Seuss at Sea will let kids and parents alike explore their imaginations through the memorable onboard experiences we’re building together.”

The first sailing of the Seuss at Sea program will leave port in February 2014, and the cruise line expects the program to be implemented throughout its entire fleet by 2015. For more information about the Seuss at Sea program, visit the website.
