In a region known for its natural beauty, the down-to-earth Emerald City is an urban center with something for everyone. Eclectic art, street-side musicians, designer shops and water sports are just a few of the finds waiting in Seattle.

The waterfront easily steals the show, offering fresh seafood at local favorites like Ivar’s Acre of Clams or Elliott’s Oyster House. Around the corner, you can watch as the day’s catch flies through the air – literally – at Pike Place Market, where the famed fishermen put on a show as they wrap orders of fresh-caught salmon and lobster tails.

There’s more to the Pike Place Market than flying fish. This popular farmer’s market and historic district is home to the Starbucks coffee house that launched a global phenomenon, but you’ll also find under-the-radar cafes and bistros inviting you in from the rain.
