Nowhere else in the U.S. will you find a destination quite like Alaska. Striking glaciers and vast mountain ranges, plus an abundance of local critters like bears, moose and seals set the scene for America’s last frontier. This outdoor wonderland is a haven for nature enthusiasts and adventure-seekers alike.

One of Alaska’s most unique features is its glaciers — thick slabs of slow-moving ice that, here in Alaska, come in bright blue hues. These natural wonders are the inspiration for many a day trip, whether you choose to enjoy them by cruise, canoe or a small plane tour. But Alaska’s natural beauty doesn’t stop there – Denali National Park is home to features like Mount McKinley, hiking trails through the great Alaskan wilderness and wildlife like caribou, grizzly bears and sheep.

In the town of Ketchikan, Alaska’s oldest city, you can get a sense of the region’s native people and culture. Here, you’ll find one of the world’s largest collections of totem poles. And at the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage, you can dig into Alaska’s native culture with traditional performances and exhibits.
