Competition Terms and Conditions
1.General
1.1. No purchase necessary.
1.2. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.
1.3. The promoter of this competition is Cheapflights, Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB, United Kingdom (the “Promoter”).
2. Conditions of Entry and Eligibility
2.1. In order to enter, you must visit the Internet competition website at www.cheapflights.co.uk/christmascountdown and enter your email address. You must also accept the competition terms and conditions. It is not compulsory to share the competition on Facebook or Twitter to enter the competition.
2.2. Sharing the competition on Facebook or Twitter is an optional function of the competition. By sharing, the entrant is automatically given 5 additional entries into the current day’s prize draw.
2.3.1 There are 24 prize draws in total, a total of one per day between Thursday December 1st 2016 and Saturday December 24th 2016. The start time for the daily prize draws is 00:00 a.m. (local time) of that day. All entries for the prize draws must be received by 11:59 p.m. (local time) on any given day.
2.3.2 For example the start date for entries into the first prize draw on Thursday December 1st 2016 start at 00:00 a.m. (local time) on Thursday December 1st 2016. All entries for the first prize draw must be received by 11:59 p.m. (local time) on Thursday December 1st 2016. At 00:00 a.m. on Friday December 2nd 2016 (local time), the second prize draw opens. All entries for the second prize draw must be received by 11:59 p.m. (local time) on Friday December 2nd 2016.
2.4 There is a limit of one entry per person daily. Multiple entries from the same email address will be deemed void and will not be accepted. However, if the entrant shares the daily prize draw on Facebook or Twitter, they are eligible for another five (5) entries into the daily prize draw.
2.5. The Promoter is not responsible for contacting or forwarding prizes to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries that are late, lost, misdirected, or destroyed.
2.6. This competition is open to all residents of the USA aged 18 years and over. Employees of the Promoter and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner), its agents, or anyone professionally associated with the competition are not eligible to enter the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
3. The Prize:
3.1. There will be one (1) prize awarded per day. The prize will change daily and can not be exchanged for money. Prizes range from travel gadgets to flights. The full list of prizes can be found below.

3.2. It is not compulsory for the entrant to share the competition to Facebook or Twitter to enter the competition. Sharing the competition on Facebook or Twitter is an optional function of the competition. By sharing, the entrant is automatically given 5 additional entries into the current day’s prize draw.
3.3.1. Should a competition winner win flights, booking shall be completed no later than two (2) calendar months from the date of acceptance of the prize. In the event that the winner cannot book within the designated time period, the winner loses their prize and any rights therein.
3.3.2. Should a competition winner win flights, travel shall be completed no later than one (1) calendar year from the date of acceptance of the prize. In the event that the winner cannot travel within the designated time period, the winner loses their prize and any rights therein.
3.3.3. The competition winner is solely responsible for any and all other costs or expenses associated with the prize that are not specifically included in these Terms & Conditions, including, but not limited to, additional accommodation fees, transport to and from the respective airports, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
3.4. The Promoter holds no responsibility or liability for the winner (or accompanying passengers). Insurance is not included in the prize. The Promoter strongly advises the winner to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any flight cancellations and, therefore, advises the winner to ensure cancellation is included in their travel insurance.
3.5. Prize selection is based on availability. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the specifications of the prize, or offer an alternate prize of equal or greater value, at any time before the competition closes. The competition winner is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including valid passports and visas.
3.6. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-refundable, non-transferrable and is not convertible to cash.
3.7. The Promoter assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected prizes during shipping to the Winner’s provided address. It is the Winner’s responsibility to provide the correct shipping address.
3.7. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Competition Closing Date.
- Selection of Winner
4.1. The prize draws for all 24 days will take place on Tuesday 2nd Jan 2017 at approximately 3 p.m. (local time). The Promoter will select one winner per day from all eligible entries. The final winner will be selected at random using a random prize draw generator. The prize has been made available for distribution. If a winner is chosen who has already won another of the 24 prizes, another winner will be chosen at random.
4.2 The selected entrant will be contacted via Email within one (1) day of the draw.
4.3. The prize must be accepted within ten days of receipt of the Email referred to in clause 4.2 above. In the event of non-reply, a supplementary entrant may be selected by draw at the Promoter’s discretion.
4.4. The prize winner may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your name, city of residence, video image and/or photograph in any related publicity or online posting without compensation.
4.5. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, amend, terminate or withdraw this competition at any time, with no obligation or liability, subject to any applicable law.
4.6. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into

- Other
5.1. All entries become the property of the Promoter upon receipt and will not be returned.
5.2 The Promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries, for any failure of the website during the competition period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the competition.
5.3 Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this competition is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
5.4 Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically produced, mutilated, forged, falsified, plagiarised, altered or tampered with in any way.
5.5. For the name of the prize winner, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope marked Export Yourself Competition, Cheapflights, Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB. No entries should be sent to this address.
5.6. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the competition and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
5.7. The Promoter has organised this competition in good faith and does not accept liability relating to the prize.
