It may not have the prestige of its New York, Paris or Milan counterparts, but what the Berlin Fashion Week lacks in kudos it sure makes up for in creativity.

Enter the Underground Catwalk.

In what has to be one of fashion’s most adventurous locations, models, fashion moguls, style gurus and photographers all cram aboard a specially charted U-Bahn train for an hour long trip across Berlin.

Respect must be given to the models for their elegance and poise as they variously saunter, lunge and swing their way down the moving metro cars.

This year 17 designers and labels will present appetizers from their latest collections. With the regular underground theme in place, expect plenty of urban, rock, gothic and punk styles on display.

You don’t have to be part of the fashion industry clique to attend tomorrow’s show, though unfortunately standard tickets have sold out. VIP tickets (But €75) are still available – they secure you privileged boarding and entry to the aftershow party at Sage Club.
