If there's one thing you'll never forget about the Mediterranean it's the turquoise waters that expand throughout the sea. Thank goodness there are plenty of Turkish resorts along the Turquoise Coast for visitors to enjoy the Mediterranean. One such resort is Fethiye, a small port town that occupies the site of the ancient city Telmessos, and where travelers can explore some of the most impressive ancient history and monuments in all of Asia. The flight to Fethiye arrives in Dalaman Airport - from there, travelers can boat or ride to the resort. Once in Fethiye, the options are endless.

Fethiye is one of the most traveled-to resorts in Turkey, but it still retains its old-town charm. Watch out for herds of goats and sheep as you make your way through the crowded streets. Stop off at the bazaar and take in the hundreds of spices that float through the air as you hunt for the best bargains. If history is your calling, explore some of Fethiye's ancient sites including the rock tombs dating back to the fourth century BC. Along the harbor is the Roman amphitheater, and a short walk will land you among harbor-front restaurants and the narrow streets of the old town. Rent a yacht and set sail to nearby beaches and coves or simply relax on the waterfront. Whatever you choose to do on your Fethiye vacation, you won't be disappointed in this quaint Turkish resort town.
