Reasons to fly to Altinkum

Turkey’s resorts have long been a popular destination spot for British travelers, but more recently U.S. travelers have jumped flights to Turkey for vacations in the resort towns. Turkey’s smaller and quieter resort town of Altinkum has seen a wave of tourists in recent years looking for a relaxing, easy-going beach vacation. There are no direct flights to Altinkum but travelers heading to this paradise town can fly into Turkey’s Bodrum airport and make their way to Altinkum. The resort’s main attraction is the beach, where visitors spend most of their days baking in the sun.  Altinkum is a resort devoted to leisure, but active travelers will find plenty to do by way of watersports before nightfall, when visitors lounge in laid-back restaurants and bars.

Altinkum Travel Information

  • Saturday Market: Just a short bus ride from Altinkum Center in Didum, you’ll find the Saturday Market, where shopping is beyond anything you’ve experienced. Be sure to leave baggage room for your return Altinkum flight, because when you find brand name clothing for half the price, you’ll be tempted to spend as much Turkish Lira as possible. With all the cash you’ll save on your cheap flight to Altinkum, who can blame you? Use your best haggling skills to attain your desired price, but keep a friendly demeanor to get the most success. The markets slow down in the afternoons, so head in a little after 2PM to browse without the crowds.
  • Boat and Fishing Trips: Having a coastline filled with islands and coves makes Altinkum the perfect place to plan fishing trips and swimming excursions. Gather a group of friends and rent a private charter to cruise around the shore, enjoy the solitude of the sea, and take a dip whenever you feel like it. For bigger groups, large boats accommodate up to 50 people, and play music on the two decks (one deck for sunbathing and one for dining). Buy tickets in advance to complete your Altinkum travel.
  • Kamachi Beach: Most vacationers booking flights to Altinkum have one thing in common: the beach. While sand and sun are plentiful, it can be hard to find a beach that’s not crowded with tourists laying on every square inch. Kamachi Beach, although smaller than most, is one occupied mostly by friendly locals that willingly show travelers around, and welcome you to the shore. A restaurant close by allows you to have a quick bite for lunch or a long, quiet dinner overlooking the water at night.
