Job Title: Data Acquisition Engineer

Key areas of responsibility:
Working as a part of the US IS Team your primary responsibilities will be providing 2nd line support to our growing number of advertisers which involves extracting and transforming data from disparate sources in addition to using and developing the companies in house screen scraping technology. The role involves both written and verbal communication with our advertisers and so good inter-personal skills would be essential.
Technical Skills
Essential:
- SQL preferably T-SQL
- Web Services
- XML/SOAP
- ASP.NET
- C#
- HTML
- JavaScript
Highly Desirable:
- Regular Expressions
- SQL Server 2000 particularly DTS
- SQL Server 2005 Reporting Service/Integration Service
Desirable:
- VBScript
- Web based Architecture
- Smart Client Development
Preferred Background:
- Four+ years in IT
- Client facing background
- Travel Industry
Personal Qualities:
- Strong Team Player
- Good Communication Skills
- Organized
- Delivery focused
Qualifications:
- BS degree in CS or equivalent required
- Microsoft Certifications (desirable)
