Sabiha Gokcen International, Istanbul's second airport, is located on the Asian side of the city. It opened in 2001 and is named after Sabiha Gokcen, the world's first female combat pilot. Water: The IDO Sea Bus Port is situated 5 miles away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighboring towns and cities.
Rail: The nearest railway connection is 4 miles away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighboring towns and cities.
Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours a day to destinations in and around Istanbul.
Bus: There is a regular shuttle bus service between the airport and the city center (journey time: 30-45 minutes); the service also connects Sabiha Gokcen International Airport and Ataturk International Airport (journey time: 60-70 minutes).

Parking lots for both short- and long-term parking are located in front of the terminals. Short-term parking is also available next to the main terminal building.

Money and communications: There are ATMs located in both terminals. A bank is located in the Arrivals area in the International Terminal; and in the Arrivals area, there is a post office. Public telephones are available in both terminals.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars and cafés in the Departures and mezzanine areas.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops available in the sectioned halls in the International Terminal. There is also a mini market.
Luggage: Trolleys are available free of charge.
Other facilities: There is a baby-care room in the Departures lounge on the International Terminal.

All facilities in the Arrivals hall are located on one level, meaning that disabled passengers can move easily around the Arrivals area. Disabled toilets are available in both terminals and there are elevators to the restaurants on the mezzanine level of the International Terminal. Passengers requiring assistance with boarding aircraft are advised to contact their airline in advance. Wheelchairs are available at the Domestic Terminal, free of charge; passengers should make advance arrangements with their airline. Disabled parking is available free of charge.

A business center is available in the CIP Lounge, which is located in Departures in the International Terminal. Passengers wishing to use the business service have access to two lounges, computers, telephones, fax machines and Internet services.
