Anchorage International

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is just 4.5 miles (7.4km) from downtown Anchorage in Alaska. It is an important airport in Alaska and was named after the local US Senator Ted Stevens, who served in the Senate from 1968 until 2009.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport has two terminals: the South Terminal handles domestic traffic and the North Terminal is used for international flights. Colorado Springs Municipal

Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) is a jointly-owned civil and military hub, offering limited service to 13 American destinations. Colorado's second-busiest airport, it shares its site with Peterson Air Force Base.

Flights to Colorado Springs Municipal Airport are provided by US carriers only, and only between Colorado Springs and other major change-over destinations, such as Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Phoenix. Denver International

Denver International Airport (DEN) is one of the largest airports, both in the United States and in the world. It is also one of the top ten busiest airports worldwide. Denver International Airport’s beautifully constructed rooftops, which are said to resemble the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains, are conveniently located just 25 miles (40km) from downtown Denver.

Portland International

Portland International Airport (PDX) is the busiest in the state, providing up to 90 percent of the air traffic to Oregon. Nearly 15 million passengers pass through its gates each year.

While its name says international, flights to Portland International Airport are mostly regional with a few routes from Canada. Direct connections can be made to cities such as New York, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Honolulu, Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Detroit, Salt Lake City, Denver and Los Angeles. Delta operates the airport’s only intercontinental route to Amsterdam.

The airport is attractive and relatively efficient, but tends to be ranked somewhere in the middle in terms of US airports. With no diversions more exciting than free Wi-Fi and an ice-cream cone from Baskin-Robbins, passengers coming through Portland International will find it as adequate as they require.

Salt Lake City International

Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is about four miles (6.5km) from the city center of Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah and the largest city in the US southwest. The airport sees a whopping 21 million passengers a year, and flights to Salt Lake City Airport come to and from major hubs across the country, as well as Paris, Tokyo, Toronto and destinations in Mexico.

Only 15 minutes from the city center and less than half an hour from 1.3 million jobs, this is a popular airport for business travel and for millions of ordinary travelers in the area. Seattle - Tacoma International

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), also affectionately known as Sea-Tac Airport, is located in the southern King County of Washington, 12 miles (19km) south of Seattle. Serving more than 31.5 million passengers in 2010, it is the United States’ 18th busiest airport.

Sea-Tac Airport has a Main (central) Terminal and ticketing arena surrounded by concourses A-D, as well as a two satellite terminals called the North and South Satellites. An automatic people-mover transports passengers between the satellite terminals and the Main Terminal. Running alongside the ticketing concourse is the airport garage, which houses five parking areas and a ground transportation center. All gates may be accessed once past security.

With an extensive selection of art on display throughout the airport, in addition to a host of shops, restaurants, bars, bistros and fast-food outlets, Sea-Tac is both attractive and inviting. Moreover, its combination of efficient facilities and helpful staff make pesky tasks such as checking-in a breeze.
