Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) handles most of the flights in and out of Michigan, as it is the busiest airport in the state. It’s an easy drive from downtown Detroit as it is situated 16 miles (26km) southwest of the city, in the suburb of Romulus. It is also only 47 miles (76km) from Toledo, in the neighboring state of Ohio.
To say that Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is big might be considered something of an understatement. The two terminals have close to 150 boarding gates in total, and the Edward H. McNamara Terminal has a one-mile (1.6km) long terminal, making it the second-longest terminal building in the world. Passengers using the airport can rest assured that with a terminal this big, the airport houses plenty of shopping opportunities and some good leg-stretching space (although moving walkways are available for those with travel fatigue).
Cheap flights to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport are generally easy to find because the airport is a hub for both Delta and Spirit Airlines. There are many flights to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport from places such as Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt; as well as Atlanta, Orlando and New York.

Duluth International
Duluth International Airport is located 5 miles (9km) from the city of Duluth, the westernmost deep-water port city on the Atlantic.
Though the city is quite small, there is still enough to keep visitors busy. As it's the birthplace of Bob Dylan, it’s no surprise that Duluth hosts its own music festival, the Homegrown Music Festival, in May each year. It also has the only freshwater aquarium in the US, and a number of museums.
Duluth International is a small airport that sees little more than 300,000 passengers per year. It's linked to other major US cities, including Minneapolis, Detroit, and Chicago. As long as you’re not waiting around too long, there’s enough to keep you busy - you can enjoy a quiet drink and a snack, or use the time (and free internet access) to catch up on your emailing.

El Paso itself is a large border community that sees much trade and commerce, so there are many flights to El Paso International Airport from cities around the US. The airport has a huge cargo section and is surrounded by several industrial parks.

George Bush Intercontinental
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and dining and shopping options in this airport are no exception. With more than 50 retail and food options throughout the five terminals, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston has plenty to keep travelers busy.
The downside of this huge airport is that it can be very confusing for those passing through for the first time, and as a result of its size a fair amount of time needs to be allocated for getting to your gate – this can be a bit stressful if you have a tight connection. While quite efficient and not known for long delays, the airport maintains an almost cheesy 1970s facade – perhaps in line with the Dallas theme?
Flights to George Bush Intercontinental Airport are available from many major cities, including London, Amsterdam, Paris, Chicago, Toronto, Mexico City, Washington DC, Sao Paulo, Atlanta, Tokyo, and Moscow.

Improved check-in and baggage claim facilities and a brand new retail concourse, in addition to friendly and helpful staff and reliable transport, ensure a pleasant experience.

Halifax International
Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is located 22 miles (35km) from Halifax city center. It is Canada’s seventh-busiest airport, serving more than 3.5 million passengers each year. Flights to Halifax International arrive from across Canada, the US and Europe.
Since 1998, extensive construction has been underway, including runway renovations and terminal and car park expansions. Efforts are also being focused on improving the aesthetics of the airport with an observation deck and terminal upgrades. Perhaps one of the most significant enhancements at the airport is its new pre-clearance area, which saves travelers a lot of time when boarding a flight to the US.
Currently in the seventh and final phase of its Airport Restoration Program, Halifax International will see taxiway and aircraft apron renovations in 2011. Delays are to be expected, but the program will soon have the airport in better shape than ever.

Hector International
Named after the man who donated the land for the airport, Hector International (FAR) is located 3 miles (5km) northwest of the center of Fargo, North Dakota. It received a much-needed makeover in 2008, including an expansion of its passenger terminal as well as construction of a new gate, baggage claim and security checkpoint area.
A small and charming airport, Hector International features a basic, yet sufficient, array of amenities for its modest number of annual passengers. A customs service is available for international flights, however the airlines - Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta and United Express – offer only domestic flights.
Hector International is no Heathrow, but what it lacks in size and passenger traffic it makes up for in friendly and efficient customer service. In fact, staff are so accommodating that they’ll put a flight on hold if queues at security are slow.
