Getting into Town

Water: For travel by ferry, AC Transit’s line no.58 bus connects Jack London Square and the Alameda/Oakland Ferry to Oakland International Airport. The ferry (Web site: www.eastbayferry.com) provides services to Alameda, San Francisco’s Ferry Terminal and Pier 39/Fisherman’s Wharf.

Rail: AC Transit’s line no.58 bus connects the Amtrak Station at Jack London Square to Oakland International Airport.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available from Veteran’s Cab and Friendly Cab; regional shuttle services are also available to most destinations, including scheduled and door-to-door services.

Bus: AirBART and AC Transit (Web site: www.actransit.org) buses run between the airport and the BART Oakland Coliseum rail station, for connections to BART services. Line N runs an hourly service at night between the airport and downtown Oakland and downtown San Francisco. Further ground transportation information is available (tel: 1 888 435 9625).

Luggage: A lost property service is available in Terminal 1 (tel: 510 577 4095). There is a left-luggage office in Terminal 1.

Other facilities: A paramedic service is available in the case of an emergency.

Directions

From I-880 North or South, follow the exit signs on 98th Avenue or Hegenberger Road to the airport entrance. 98th Avenue is the main airport entrance.

Car Rentals

Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National and Thrifty are represented. Shuttles provide transport from the terminals to the rental car center and there are telephones in the Arrivals areas of both terminals to arrange transport.
