Luis Munoz Marin International Airport is located east of San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital city. It is the island’s largest airport and is named after its first democratically elected governor. The three-terminal airport is the main connection point to the United States. American Airlines has a large hub there.

There is a ground transportation information desk at the airport, which gives information and books tickets for all types of travel.
Taxi: Taxis are available from the first level of each terminal (journey time to San Juan: 30-45 minutes). Puerto Rico has both ordinary taxis and taxis turisticos with a special knowledge of tourist areas; these are painted white with a logo and charge set rates depending on zones.
Limousine: Limousines are also available.
Bus: Regular buses and airport shuttles run to San Juan, where there is a ferry service from Pier 2 across the bay to Catano.

Multi-level parking charged at hourly rates is available 24 hours a day. American Parking Systems provides long-term parking options, with some 2,000 spaces available.

Money and communications: There is a bank on the second level (Departures) of Terminal D. There is a post office and telephones on the first level (Arrivals).
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets on the second level (Departures) in Terminal D and C; snack bars are available in all terminals and at some gates.
Shopping: Shops are also located on the second level (Departures). Duty-free is available at gate 9 and between gates 2 and 3.
Other facilities: Medical emergency services are available.

These include lifts, a ramp, people movers, TTY telephones, disabled toilets and disabled parking spaces. Assistance is available to disabled travelers; travelers should contact the Travelers Aid desk on the first level of Terminal D. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should contact their airline prior to travel. Wheelchair Getaways Rent A Car (tel: 787 726 4023) has vehicles for disabled drivers.

There are no conference facilities available at the airport or at the airport hotel. The Courtyard Isla Verde Beach Resort (tel: 787 791 0404) has four meeting rooms and a fully equipped business center, with PCs and printers available. Facilities for frequent flyers and businessmen are located at the American Airlines Admiral's Club in Terminal D, including free local calls, photocopying and fax service, and FedEx drop off. Other executive lounges include the Delta Airlines Crown Room in Terminal B and also the Continental Airlines President’s Club in Terminal C.
