Rail: Train: The airport is located about 3.7 miles from Bologna central railway station, which has connections to all major destinations across Italy and Europe. Access to the railway station is by the Aerobus bus service, which departs from the airport every 15 minutes 6:05am-11:45pm daily (journey time: 20 minutes).
Taxi: Taxi services are available outside Arrivals at both terminals. Bus: The Aerobus departs every 15 minutes 6:05am-11:45pm daily from outside Arrivals (Terminals A and B) and runs to Bologna central railway station and the city center (journey time: 20 minutes). Tickets can be bought on the bus. An additional service runs to the trade fair center when trade shows take place between September-May, except during the Motor Show. There is also a bus service to/from Modena Airport and Modena city center. Services depart every 15 minutes 6:15am-8:45pm daily (journey time: 60 minutes).

There are 3000 parking spaces at Bologna G Marconi Airport, 850 of which are free of charge. The free parking lots are located at the airport entrance and another close to the airport, on Via dell'Aeroporto. Short-term parking is available outside Arrivals, medium-term parking (P1 and P2) is available outside Terminals A and B (Departures) and long-term parking (P3) is available in front of the restaurant and cargo bays. Payment can be made by cash, debit card or credit card upon leaving the lot or at the automated machines in Terminal A (Arrivals). A valet service is also available on the ground level of P2.

Money and communications: There is a bank on the first floor of Terminal A. There are ATMs and bureau de change in Terminals A and B. A total of 53 pay phones are located throughout the airport and there is a post office in Terminal A.
Eating and drinking: Bars and restaurants can be found in both terminals. There is also a restaurant outside the terminals on Via Triumvirato adjacent to lot P3.
Shopping: Various shops, including newsagents and tobacconists, a shoe shop, a clothes shop, a leather goods and accessories shop, and a shop selling regional food produce, are located in both terminals. Duty-free shopping is also available in Terminals A and B.
Luggage: The lost property office is located on the ground floor of Terminal A.
Other facilities: Two Marconi Club VIP lounges, for holders of appropriate tickets, are located in both terminals. Baby-changing facilities are available in all ladies' toilets. There is a children's play area in the self-service and restaurant area on the second floor of Terminal A, featuring cartoon films and a special menu. Help-phones, for assistance with children, are located in both terminals. Special bags and identification tags are available from check-in desks for transporting pushchairs onboard the aircraft.

There are no hotels at the airport. The nearest hotel is the Sheraton (tel: +39 (0)51 641 5104), which is located just outside the airport grounds. A complimentary shuttle service runs between the airport and the hotel every 20 minutes 5:30am-midnight daily.

There is a wide range of facilities for disabled passengers, including 14 disabled toilets, 40 reserved parking spaces and help telephones located in Terminal A (at the Arrivals/Departures entrances and at the check-in and information desks) and Terminal B (at the entrance and check-in desks); help telephones can be used to request wheelchairs or airport operator assistance. Oxygen therapy apparatus, stretchers and a specially-adapted waiting room are also available.

Two Marconi Club VIP lounges are available for use by Marconi Club members, certain airline passengers (as indicated on ticket), holders of invitation cards and members of the PO Executive Club in Rome. Facilities include reserved check-in (Terminal A lounge only), television, Internet connection, telephone and fax facilities, and complimentary drinks, snacks and newspapers. A telephone call reservation service is available to Marconi Club members. The lounges are open from 6am-last flight departure. Marconi Club membership subscription forms can be obtained at the airport.
