Bus: There are bus services to Nottingham, Derby and Loughborough (with connections to destinations around Great Britain on the Intercity network) from outside the main Arrivals area. Parking for more than 4,000 cars is available at the airport. The short-term parking lot is located outside the main terminal building, with a courtesy shuttle bus to transport passengers to/from the medium and long-term parking lots. Eating and drinking: Cafés, restaurants, a British pub, a bar, a sandwich bar and a food village are all available.
Shopping: There are many retail outlets at the airport, including a duty- and tax-free shop.

Other facilities: These include a first aid room, nursing rooms, children’s play areas and a travel agent.

The Hilton East Midlands Airport (tel: +44 (0)1509 674 000) is located 2 miles away and the Express by Holiday Inn (tel: +44 (0)1509 678 000) is on the Pegasus Business Park next to the airport; both provide a shuttle service to/from the airport.

Disabled parking is provided in the short-term lot located 164ft from the terminal building entrance. There are also disabled toilets, lowered phones and an elevator. Wheelchairs and wheelchair-accessible taxis are also available; passengers who require the ambulift for boarding aircraft should notify their airline at the time of booking. Hearing loops are located throughout the terminal.
