Malaga Airport, one of Spain’s oldest airports, is the gateway to the Costa del Sol. Most of the flights to the airport come from the European Union, in particular London Gatwick, Manchester, Luton, Dublin, Brussels and Amsterdam. Terminals 1 and 2 are in adjoining buildings and are connected internally. Terminal 3 is in a separate building, within walking distance.

Rail: There are local trains to Malaga and Fuengirola. The train station is located opposite Terminal 2.
Taxi:Taxis are available outside the terminals. Taxi stands are located outside Terminal 1 Arrivals and Terminal 2 Departures.
Bus: Tourist shuttle buses and public bus service run to Malaga and can be caught outside Terminal 1 Arrivals and Terminal 2 Departures. There is also a bus service to Marbella that operates daily from both terminals.

Parking lots are available outside both terminals; both offer short-term parking. Both covered and outdoor parking is available in the lot outside Terminal 2. Long-term parking (more than four days) is available in the Terminal 1 lot.

Money and communications: There is a bank in Arrivals in Terminal 2, as well as several ATMs and post boxes. Bureaux de change are available at the bank, in the baggage reclaim halls in both terminals, and in the Terminal 2 Departures lounge.
Eating and drinking: There are bars, restaurants and fast-food outlets, which can be found in the Centro Plaza in Terminal 1. Bars and cafés are also available in the Centro Comercial in Departures on the second floor of Terminal 2.
Shopping: A variety of shops, including a pharmacy, can be found in the Central Plaza in Terminal 1. Many more shops, including duty-free, are available in the Centro Comercial in Departures on the second floor of Terminal 2.
Luggage: There is no baggage storage facility at the airport. There is a lost property office in Terminal 1.
Other facilities: There is a medical service, pharmacy, oratory, and exhibition area, as well as travel agencies.

There are no hotels at the airport. Málaga hotels include the Hotel Guadalmar (tel: +34 (0)95 223 1703), Hotel Larios (tel: +34 (0)95 222 2200), Hotel AC Málaga Palacio (tel: +34 (0)95 221 5185) and the Hotel NH (tel: +34 (0)95 207 1323). There is a hotel reservation service in Terminal 2.

There is no business center at the airport, although there are three VIP lounges with telephone and fax facilities. The Costa del Sol VIP Lounge is situated in Terminal 2 (tel: +34 (0)952 048 823) and can be adapted for meetings and conferences. The Europa VIP Lounge (tel: +34 (0)952 048 854) is situated in Terminal 2 and is equipped with telephone and fax facilities, as well as TV, newspapers and complimentary drinks and snacks.
