Airline Overview

First taking off in 2002, flyglobespan is a Scottish no-frills carrier owned by the established holiday company Globespan. The airline flies from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and destinations across to the UK to America, Canada and major European holiday resorts. Destinations include Toronto, Vancouver, Boston, Orlando, New York, Alicante, Barcelona, Faro, Malaga, Ibiza, Tenerife and Cape Town.

Baggage

Carry-on: Items can't be bigger than 55 x 45 x 20cm (22 in x 18 in x 8 in). The weight of hand luggage is counted towards the total free baggage allowance of 20kg.

Checked luggage: The total weight allowance, including hand baggage, is 20kg (44lbs).

Excess: Extra weight can be booked in advance online at the rate of £15 ($30) per 10kg. If paid for at the airport, the fee is £5 ($10) per kg.

Passenger Change Details

The date of the flight can be changed up to seven days prior to the flight departure. Changes can only be made by calling the reservation line and cost £19 ($28) per person within Europe or £35 ($70) outside Europe plus any additional cost of the new flight.

Changes to the passenger name can be made up until 5pm two days before departure either online or by telephone. Charges are £19 within Europe, £35 outside Europe if made online. If changed at the call center, charges are £24 ($48) within Europe, £40 ($80) outside Europe.

Seating info

Pre-assigned Seating

Seats can be pre-booked online for a charge (outside Europe: free for Business and Premium Economy passengers, £7 ($14) for all other passengers; within Europe: £5 ($10) for standard seats, £12 ($24) for extra lergoom). Otherwise, seats will be allocated at check-in.
