For international flights you must check in three hours prior to scheduled departure. For flights within Mexico, passengers with boarding passes and without baggage may check in 30 minutes before the flight departs; with baggage, check-in is 60 minutes before the flight departs. Passengers without a boarding pass can check in using a kiosk or at the check-in counter 60 minutes before the flight departs.
Aeromexico baggage allowance
Carry-on: Limited to one piece, not exceeding 22 lbs. or 45 linear inches (114cm), provided it can be stored under the seat or in the overhead compartment. Passengers are also allowed one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop bag.
Checked: On domestic economy flights, the baggage allowance is 55lbs. On international flights to and from the United States and Canada, the baggage allowance is 50lbs. On flights to and from Central America, South America (except Brazil), Cuba and Asia, passengers are allowed two checked bags weighing up to 50lbs each. On flights to and from Europe, the baggage allowance is 70lbs and on flights to and from Brazil, passengers are allowed two checked bags weighing up to 70lbs each.

The cost of an infant's ticket for flights to and from the United States is $35, while the cost on flights to and from Asia, Europe and South America is 10 percent of the regular ticket price. There is an additional $15 ticketing charge for infants.

You may only travel with dogs, cats, and small caged birds which require a special permit from the authorities, vaccinations, and corresponding permits. Pets do not count toward the free baggage allowance and are only accepted in a cage, stowed in the baggage hold. On domestic flights, the cost to fly with your pet is $40 if you use the call center and $45 at the airport. The cost to fly with your pet is $93 if you use the call center and $105 at the airport for flights to and from the United States, Canada, Central America, Venezuela, Peru and Colombia. For flights to and from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Europe and Asia, the cost of flying with your pet is $198 through the call center and $209 at the airport.
Carrying musical instruments
Musical instruments less than 45 inches total area can be brought on board as a carry-on item. A separate seat can be purchased for a large instrument or it can be checked in the aircraft’s baggage compartment.

Special meals can be requested before the flight; these include low-salt, diabetic, infant and Kosher menus.
