You canceled my original flight morning of flight. The new flight had 3 connections and seat were not comparable. I book early to get the aisle seats for my height. When I tried to talk to a staff member at desk in Denver, she was rude and said nothing she could do. The seat was in boarding group 4, made me check my bag. When I got on the flight, there was clearly over head space available. When I mentioned that there was space available, no response. It was a frustrating trip

Santa Fe is a haven for artists of all persuasions. Home to more than 250 art galleries and hundreds of artist studios there is no shortage of creativity in this town. From the grand pictures hanging in the Georgia O’Keefe Museum to the one-of-a-kind pottery and paintings in smaller studios, the artist’s eye is everywhere in Santa Fe.
As the capital of New Mexico, Santa Fe has a lot to offer. Located just 60 miles from Albuquerque, flights to Santa Fe are easy to book and travelers to Santa Fe have endless day-trip options. It’s the oldest capital in the U.S. and offers centuries of history. Many visitors book Santa Fe flights for a lesson in family lineage – only a few hours away are Indian pueblos where travelers can learn about specific tribes and environments. Or, take a trip to the historic center to research ancestry from Indian tribes. Santa Fe was built on Native American roots, but the city’s unique European feel keeps visitors of all cultures coming back for more.
Santa Fe enjoys a temperate seasonal climate with about 300 days of sunshine a year. Summer (June to August) temperatures seldom exceed 86 degrees Fahrenheit, and a few inches of rain falls. Around five inches of snow falls during the winter (December to February), but temperatures seldom drop below freezing. In general the weather is dry and mild and humidity is low.
Santa Fe is a year-round travel destination. Flights to Santa Fe are always easy to find, but if you plan to visit Santa Fe during one of the city’s festivals it’s wise to book flights and accommodations ahead of time.
Peak Season:
Most out-of-towners visit Santa Fe during the summer months and over the Christmas holiday. During these times, the city is packed full of events including music festivals, street performers, cultural ceremonies celebrating Santa Fe’s Native American heritage.
Off Season:
There is no bad time to travel to Santa Fe. However, if budget is a concern cheap flights to Santa Fe can be found end of winter and early spring.
The downtown and historic areas of Santa Fe are pretty compact and easy to get around on foot. The Santa Fe Trails buses travel over seven routes from downtown to outlying sights. Route 10 is a convenient path for tourists who can stop at the museums on the Old Santa Fe Trail. Bikes are another great way to get around, but for longer distances you can take a taxi, charter van or rental car.
What’s your fetish? You’ll see a lot of animal figures floating around Santa Fe stores. These little carvings are called a fetish and according to belief, the owner of that fetish will possess the same powers of the animal. For example, a person might carry a bear for strength or an eagle for awareness. Most stores will have a list of what the animals symbolize, so choose your fetish and wear it well.
Flying in Santa Fe takes on a whole new meaning. Forget about airplanes, hop in a balloon and head upward. The Balloon Fiesta is world-renowned in New Mexico and takes place annually in Albuquerque. You can book balloon rides in Santa Fe, but you’ll likely need to travel to Albuquerque or Taos.
Jewelry is an art for the Native American Indians and it’s never more prevalent than in Santa Fe. The most popular pieces are made of silver and/or turquoise.
